Abraham E. Branum, resident of the Dorris, Calif., district for the past 35 years, passed away at his late residence on Thursday evening, September 10, 1942. The deceased was a native of Randolph county, Indiana, and was aged 102 years 5 months and 22 days when called. He is survived by two sons, Marion and Nicholas of Dorris, a graddaughter, Hattie M. Branum of Dorris; also 30 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. The remains rest in Ward's Klamath Funeral home, 925 High street.

He married Mary Ellander Hawes Born Oct 30, 1840 in Ohio, and she died Dec. 20, 1903 in Meeteetse, Park, Wyoming.
