'Magazine Man,'
Elsasser Dies

Peter E. Elsasser, jr., 56 of 529 South Twenty-seventh street, for many years known as "the magazine man," died last night at his home after an illness of several months.

Member of a pioneer family in Omaha, he had lived here all his life, was for 23 years with the American Railway Express agency. About 15 years ago he started selling magazines, opened a shop at Twenty-ninth and Leavenworth streets, then moved to Twenty-fourth street and Ames Avenue. For eight years he operated a subscription agency in the Hamilton hotel, then he moved his office to his home.

Survivors: Father, Peter E. Elsasser, sr., former county commissioner, city councilman and register of deeds; daughter, Mrs. Gladys Zerbe; brother, A. W. Elsasser; one grandchild, all of Omaha.

Services: Monday at 4 p. m. at the C. C. Haynes mortuary, with Rev. Walter H. Traub officiating. Burial: Forest Lawn.
