The funeral for Joe Dee Hopkins will be Sunday at 3 p.m. In the chapel of J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. The Rev. William B. Miller and Jeff Hughes will officiate. Max McGinnis will be soloist.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Johnson, Michael Johnson, James Dale Miller, Paul Hopkins, Larry Gilbert and Richard Vanover. Burial will follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Today (Saturday).

Mr. Hopkins, 80, Flint Road, Murray, died Thursday, June 17, 2004, at 12:30 p.m. At West View Nursing Home.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he had operated a grocery store at Almo Heights for several years. He was also a horse farmer and pony trainer and had also worked at Pennwalt at Calvert City. He was a member of Flint Baptist Church.
One sister, Estelle Johnson, preceded him in death. Born Sept. 14, 1923, in Calloway County, he was the son of the late Aron Hopkins and Myrtle Lancaster Hopkins.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rena Garland Hopkins; four daughters, Mrs. Connie Talent and husband, Ron, Almo, Mrs. Vicki Hughes and husband, Dale, and Mrs. Patsy James and husband, Mark, all of Murray, and Mrs. Ricki Hiatt and husband, Tony, Raleigh, N.C.; six grandchildren, Rachel Talent, Jeff Hughes and wife, Becky, Jennifer Hughes, Suddie Cook, Matthew James and Wesley James; one great-grandchild, Rose Hughes.
