Died at Kirwin, Kansas, 27 March, William Beames, age 83 years. Remains were brought to this place and after a furneral discourse to a final resting place in Scandia cemetery.
The decease is the father of J. B. Beames of this place. He was born in Virginia in 1805. In 1807 with his parents moved to Kentucky, were he lived until 1830. The next 6 years were spent in Illinois. From 1836 to 1864 his home was Iowa. He then moved to Missouri and remained there until 1879, when he came to Kansas.
