Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Staack Yokom were held at the Gardner Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 17th.
Mrs. Yukom was born in McMinnville, Ore., February 16th, 1871. When she was 8 years old the family moved to The Dalles. The following year they came to Klickitat County and lived at Appleton, Panakanic, and Lyle. She was 18 years of age when she was united in marriage to Mr. Claus Staack, and they settled in Camas Prairie where their four children were born. Mr. Staack passed away in 1921 while they were living at Lyle.
In 1921 she married Mr. Bert C. Diamond and following his death in 1939, she was later married to Charles S. Yokom of Lyle.
Also surviving besides her husband are her four children: Mrs. Murriel West of Lyle, Wash., and three sons; Jim Staack of Burns, Oregon, Frank Staack of The Dalles, Oregon and Perda Staack of Glenwood, Wash.
Also two sisters, Nora Murray of White Salmon and Della Norton Hylton of Coulton, Oregon; A brother, Ed Murray of Glenwood, Wash. The Reverend Mr. George Jefferson of Portland officiated at the services and she was laid to rest in the Balch Cemetery at Lyle, Wash.
