OBITUARY

Thursday, March 1, 1917

MRS. LESTER COLVER

Gertrude Ethel, daughter of John A. and Flora R. Long, was born June 11th, 1891, and after six weeks of patient suffering, died at her home near Chariton on Feb. 25th 1917.

She was married on Oct. 26th, 1910 to Lester H. Colver.

She leaves a husband, one daughter, Wilma, aged two years and nine months; father, mother, one sister, Mrs. Nellie Beaty; two brothers, Bert and Ralph Long, all of whom are residents of this county.

She also leaves a host of friends to mourn her departure and who extend their heartfelt sympathy to the sorrowing relatives. Her sunny disposition and presence will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Rev. E. W. Curtis, assisted by Rev. S. M. Zike, conducted the funeral services at Bethel church on Monday afternoon. Burial was made in the Bethel cemetery.
