French Resistance Fighter. Lucie Aubac was a history and geography teacher when her and her husband Raymond Samuel created the Liberation South a French resistance movement to continue the fight against Germany after the defeat of France in World War II. In 1943 Lucie led the armed attack against the prison in Lyon, France to release her husband. In 1944 she and her family fled France to live in London. Lucie was awarded the Legion of Honor, France's highest award for her work in the resistance.
