Of Richland, Washington, died on February 6, 2008 at Hospice House in Kennewick, WA. She was born in Richland (Eagle Valley), Oregon to John and Magdalena Nave on October 17, 1924, the eighth of nine children. She graduated as valedictorian of her class at Eagle Valley High School in 1942. She had a varied work history that included a contract rural mail route in the Ritzville area. She retired from the Adams County Auditors office after many years of service.
Freda was active at her church in Ritzville, and served for many years as President of the Ladies Circle at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She was also a 50-year member of the Rebecca Lodge. Freda was loved by many and was well known for compassion and caring. Freda was widowed in 1993 with the death of her husband Roy, after 48 years of marriage.
