Dock Washington Clark Jr., 70, of Floyd Lane, Pulaski, died Tuesday evening in the Pulaski Community Hospital. He was born May 20, 1912 in Caldwell County, NC, the son of the late Dock Washington Clark Sr. & Rachael Coffey Clark. He was a retired employee of Radford Army Ammunition Plant after 28 years of employment. He attended Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church, Pulaski. Surviving are his wife, Clyde Eller Clark; four daughters, Mrs. Muncy (Barbara) Swecker and Mrs. William (Dorothy) Waller, both of Pulaski, Mrs. Richard (Carol Ann) King of Dublin, and Kristie Marie Clark at home; one son, Roger M. Clark of Pulaski, and six grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Ed (Hazel) Gragg of Linville, NC, Mrs. Francis Clark, Mrs. Mack (Helen) Coffee, and Mrs. Ernestine Goff, all of Lenoir, NC, and one brother, Lonnie Clark of Lenoir, NC. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. from Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Lewis Sanderford officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be anytime today at Bower Funeral home with the family receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m. The body will be taken to the church at noon Friday to lie in-state until the time of the service. Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski is handling the arrangements.
