Mrs. Ruth Irene Barger, 62, of 4347 Harrison, died Yesterday at the General Hospital. She was born in Tarsney, Mo. and had lived in this area most of her life. She is the widow of Charles D. Barger, who won the Congressional Medal of Honor in World War 1. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. She was a member of the War Mothers Auxiliary. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Norris, Huntington Park Calif.; her Mother, Mrs. Pearl Bailey, 1504 N. Main, Independence; a brother, John R. Bailey, Pleasant Hill, Mo.; six sisters, Mrs Margaret Wingo, 1304 Denver, Mrs. Jennie Stephens, 1504 N. Main, Independence; Mrs. Nellie Allison, 5224 E. 7th; Mrs.Eva Lunceford, Oak Grove, Mo.; Mrs. Thelma McGlathery, 17107 1st Street North, Independence; Mrs. Opal Bailey, 15909 E. 41st, Independence; Seven grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Carson Chapel, Winner Road at Fuller; burial in the Blue Springs Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the chapel
