EMPORIUM—Edgar "Boxy" Hickoff, 69, of Oak Lane died Wednesday [7 Sep 1994] in St. Marys Regional Medical Center.
Born May 14, 1925, in Emporium, he was the son of Edgar H. and Edna Shaffer Hickoff. On Oct 26, 1946, in Juneau, he married Norma J. Dill, who survives.
A lifelong Emporium resident and a 1944 graduate of Emporium High School, he was employed by Bauman Plumbing Co. for 10 years. He also worked as a self-employed plumbing and heating contractor until his retirement in 1981.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 368 and a life member of the Cameron County Historical Society.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Diana Boden of Emporium and Deborah Bauer of Beaver Dam; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Homer R. Hickoff and William G. Hickoff, and a sister, Edna Mae Rinehuls.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Coppersmith-Condon Funeral Home. Funeral and committed services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Brent Davidson, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Newton Cemetery.
