Yorgen Jesperson’s was an active part of the community in Petoskey, Michigan. He and his wife Edith lived in a memorable home next to the former entrance to the Petoskey Winter Sports Park. It was a few doors away from the movie people, Mr. and Mrs. Les Tayor. Yorgen was a judge, a state representative, and founded Jesperson’s Restaurant, a landmark in Petoskey for over a half-century.

Survivors included his wife, daughter, Helen Jesperson Brockway (Mrs. Morton Brockway) his son, Robert W. Jesperson. grandchildren, and many family and friends. He is burried at Greenwood Cemetery in Petoskey next to his wife Edith.
