Drebon was born April 28, 1923, to Ruby and Charles Rhodes in Bryce. She was an amazing Christian woman who loved to sing with her sisters and daughters. Drebon retired from Winn Dixie and was a 60-year member of Eastern Star. Drebon had lived in Laurel, Miss., since 1999. She was a member of First Baptist Sharon Church which she loved. On returning to Burleson in 2008, she rejoined Boulevard Baptist Church, where she had been a member since 1973.
The family wishes to extend thanks to Trinity Missions Nursing Home and all the staff for their love and compassion.
Drebon was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace D. Elkins; parents; brother, Charles Rhodes; stepson, Darrell Elkins; and her precious grandson, Jeffery Rhoden.
Survivors: Sons, Charles H. Shull and wife, Doris, Wallace D. Elkins and wife, Theresa; daughters, Cynthia Rhoden and husband, John H., Ruby Rockwell, Linda Geis and husband, John; daughter-in-law, Mary Elkins; grandchildren, John W., Denise, Heather, Ryan, Dereke, Jennifer, Tonja, Tammy, Robert, Cindy, James D., Rickey Don, Rex, Jessica and Kerrie; 28 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, William Rhodes; sisters, Helen Connor and Ann Jones; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and Michael Rockwell.
