The Houghton Cemetery in Fort Fairfield, ME is in very poor shape with only a few markers remaining. Many of the graves were moved from here (beginning about 1884) to the "new", much larger Riverside Cem. about 2 miles to the east. She may be there. The most recent burials showing on the remaining stones in the Houghton are in the early 1900's. By 1943, most of the burials would have been in the "new" Cem. St. Denis Catholic Cem. is adjacent to the Houghton Cem. and that has burials back to the early 1900's and up to the present. We walked this also, but found no Rideout's. Bonne Chance.
