Nora B. Dion
Funeral services were held this morning at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home in Arlington for Nora B. Dion, 80, native of Shaftsbury and former resident of Arlington who died Saturday at the Bennington Convalescent Center where she had resided for the past three years.
Officiating at the service and offering committal prayers at the plot in Evergreen Cemetery, Arlington, was the Rev. David Bort, pastor of the West Arlington United Methodist Church.
Former employee of the Mack Molding Co. in Arlington, and the widow of Joseph Dion, she had resided in Arlington with her niece Celia Welch.
She was born Dec 30 1896 to Orson and Emma (Fox) Bromley.
Survivors in addition to her niece include four half-sisters, Hazel Rudd, Florence Grout and Jennie Bentley, all of Arlington, and Ida Nadeau of North Bennington, six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
