"At 2 o'clock this morning Neal Gibbs, aged 3 years and 3 months, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Newton Gibbs, died of pneumonia, after an illness of five days, at the family residence on Howard avenue, near Seal avenue. The funeral will occur tomorrow from the residence of the parents at 2 p.m. Another bright flower has been plucked by the angel of death to be transplanted beside the heavenly throne, but the reaper has left sorrowing hearts to mourn the loss of their loved one. To them goes out the deepest sympathy of the citizens of Biloxi, and many prayers will ascend to the Most High to comfort them in their affliction and to lighten their grief with the knowledge that their loved one has be transported to the realm of eternal happiness, where pain and sorrow are unknown".
