Clarence D. DeGodt, age 76, of Two Rivers, died Friday morning, September 6, 1996, at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, 1996, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Kenneth Dowdy will officiate with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, where Military Rites will be accorded by members of the Two Rivers V.F.W. and American Legion Posts.

He was born September 22, 1919, at Sturgeon Bay, son of the late Elmer and Olga Gunderson DeGodt. Clarence served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II in Italy, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant.

On August 18, 1945, he married Lenore E. Sperber, in Wisconsin Dells. She preceded him in death on September 29, 1982. Clarence and his wife owned and operated a cherry orchard near Sturgeon Bay. They later moved to Two Rivers where he was employed as a Supervisor at Paragon Electric and Burger Boat Company. He was also involved in real estate. He has spent his retirement as a volunteer at Washington House in Two Rivers and was a rummage sale enthusiast/entrepreneuer, THE Santa at Christmas, and was the smoothest dancer in the county. He was a member of the Two Rivers V.F.W. Post #1248.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, one son, six grandchildren,six great-grandchildren, one sister, two brothers, one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

He was also preceded in death by one son, David; one brother, Norbert.

Friends may call at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation. Memorials will be donated in Clarence's name to various charities. The Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
