Emily Jo Mackey she was due on 1-24-1998 . I tryed and tryed to picture her growing up but i just could not for the time i knew she was in my belly i worried but the doctors say everything was fine. on the 7th month there was a cyst on her brain ever week after i went for the a ultra sound.
By the 8th month the doctors could not see it anymore it was gone everything was fine. We where so happy everything was going to be okay. but i still had no visions of her growing up.
My belly was much larger than it was with my other two children. On my last doctors appointment the doctor schedule me for the glucos test she had never sent me for one before. i should have gone for one around the 6th month.
the next day i notice there was not much movement. I call the doctor she told me that the baby was sleeping and to eat something with caffine to get her moving but not to worry if she didnt move much that she was getting ready to be born. That night i started to bleed. This time i didnt call the doctor. We went right to the hospital. I waited for a few hours in the ER. They took me in only to find that her heart beat was very faint they rushed me to the O.R. and would not tell me what was going on next thing I remember was waking up with all the nurses look at me and would not come near me. I grap on by the arm and ask how big is my baby she would not look me in the eyes and said 8 pounds and 4oz. at that size i though she was just real sick and she was going to be ok.
a few hours later i was in my hospital room i saw my husband walk by my room with a measuring tape crying. He wouldnt come in to my room. For 6 more hours no one would tell me what was going on. Then the NICU Doctor came in and asked me what my sugar levels where when i was carring her. and i told him i dont know. Then he told me that i had diabete. And Emily had gotten so big that she riped the sack and tried to breath and was posioned. ath this point she had a 50/50 chance the next day she had a 30pecent chance. at this point we new she was blind we where so willing to take her any way. The next day she had muliti system failure. We agreed to leave her go to heaven. And this was why i could not vision her growing up.
