Viola G. Thornton, 82, of Henderson, Ky, died at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at Methodist Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was a resident of Medco Center of Henderson. Survivors include two daughters, Vickie Bratcher and Hellen "Sandy" Nunn, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Rev. Alan Chamness will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:30 a.m. today at the funeral home.
Besides her parents,she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe L. Cook of Pennsylvania, and two sisters, Wanda L. Simon and Marguriete K. Titus both of New Albany, Indiana.
