She is survived by her husband, Walter "Kevin" Kulpeksa; two sons, Benjamin D. Sydboten Jr. of Lafayette, La., and Jamyl S. Sydboten of Hattiesburg, Miss.; a daughter, Kym R. Hurst of West Paducah; five grandchildren; and her dog Ralph, her constant companion.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Benjamin D. Sydboten Sr., a retired school administrator; her mother, Margueritte Orr Counts; and her father, Ray Alexander Counts, both of Paducah, Ky.
Pat loved playing with Ralph, cooking for her family, golfing, working on crossword puzzles, line dancing and going to the beach. She was a loving wife and devoted much of her time to her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by family, friends and all who knew her.
Arrangements are being made by Lone Oak Chapel Milner and Orr Funeral Home for a graveside service only, per her last request, at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at Mt. Kenton Cemetery, with Rev. Paul Hatcher officiating.
In lieu of flowers, expression of sympathy may be made to Mayo Clinic Transplant Department, 200 First Street Southwest, Rochester, MN 55905-0002.
