Laura was the daughter of Pardon E. and Roxcennia C.(Colby)Tabor. She had six siblings; Ebenezer S., Job J., John W., Susan P., Helen M. and Albert P. Laura and her family resided in Hampstead. In the 1800s Hampstead was mainly a farming community. On August 7, 1851 Laura married George Bragdon, who was also from Hampstead. Laura died while giving birth to her daughter. Laura was twenty-four when she died. Her daughter, Laura, died when she was two months old.
