Entered into eternal rest on the morning of October 8, 2006, Fred J. Adams, husband of Mary Fuller Adams. Residence, Folly Beach, SC.

The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Adams are invited to attend the funeral services of the former, Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at Eleven O'clock. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery.
Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Tuesday between five and seven o'clock.

Mr. Adams was born October 4, 1920 in McDowell, Kentucky, the son of Fred J. Adams, Sr. and Julia Lowe Adams.

He served in the United States Army during World War II, with the 82nd Airbourne # 504. He was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.

He was a member of Folly Beach Baptist Church.

Mr. Adams was the first elected Mayor of Folly Beach.

He is survived by his wife, SC; three sons: Richard T. Adams of James Island, SC, Michael W. Adams and two daughters: Sandra A. Caraviello and Freddie J. Wallen Clermont,five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to John Ancrum Society S.P.C.A., in honor of his beloved dog Megan, 3861 Leeds Avenue, Charleston, SC 29405.
