Clifford W. Stone, 65, of Michigan City, died Monday, May 25, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2009. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home, where Acme Lodge 83 F &AM will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Heritage Cemetery, Portage, Ind., with full military rites to be conducted by American Legion John Franklin Miller Post 37. Mr. Stone was born Jan. 17, 1944, in Lafe, Ark. to Aaron Udis and Nina Voicey Williams Stone, both whom preceded him in death. His wife, Diana Walden Stone survives in Michigan City. Also surviving are his children, Clifford Wayne Jr. (Laura Barnett) Stone of Michigan City, Rocky Wayne (Julie) Stone of Batesville, Ark., Tina (Jason) Dillard and Janice (Allan) Graves both of Portage, Ind., Bryan Price of Tennessee and Wendi Rozinski of Michigan City; 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Vancel (Margaret) Stone, Earl (Karen) Stone of Michigan City and Dale Voisey of Missouri, sisters, Brenda Fogus of Michigan City, Linda Gray of La Porte, and Marilyn Whitney of Missouri. The family also acknowledges George Brandon of Michigan City. Also surviving are his former wives, Betty Jackson of Batesville, Ark. and Marilyn Fay Shay of Salyersville, Ky. Clifford was an owner and operator of a tax service for over 20 years. He faithfully served in the Marine Corp. Mr. Stone was a member of the M..L. McCullom Lodge 357 F & AM of Hobart, Ind. He was also a member of the American Legion John Franklin Miller Post 37. Memorials may be given to Full Gospel House of Prayer.
