Chief Warrant Officer Segfried had a 30 year + career in the United States Army. During World War II, he spent several months in a German prisoner of war camp. After the war he had tours stateside, in the Far East, and Europe, the last 20 years as a Special Agent in the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). He culminated his military service as CID Operations Officer at the Presidio of San Francisco where he directed and supervised the activities of 24 agents assigned to four offices covering a five-state area.
