He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Wade Brown; two sons and daughters-in-law, Casey and Sherry Brown of Scottsboro and David and Carla Brown of Shelbyville, Tenn.; daughters, Cindy Brown Wood of Scottsboro; Debra Machen and husband Jamie of Scottsboro, and Patty Kittrell and husband David of Meridianville; two brothers, Richard Brown of Scottsboro and Larry Brown of Sarasota, Fla.; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Earl Avans of Fackler, Elsie and Bill Kemp of Oneonta, and Stephanie and Jeff Arnold of Scottsboro; sister-in-law, Trenda Brown of Hammond, Ind., stepmother, Ruby Brown of Scottsboro; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chesley and Mary Louisa Brown; brother, Earl Brown; sister, Ila Eveleen Brown; and grandparents, Monroe and Leora Cox, Charlie Talley, and Alice Brown.
Bro. Willis was a Free Holiness minister of the Gospel.
