She was born May 10, 1931 in Dunfermline, the daughter of Charles A. and Isabella "Bessie" (McCandless) Moore. She married Donald D. White on June 2, 1948 at Lewistown. He died August 24, 1979.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one foster son, George Rush, two brothers, and five sisters.
Surviving are one son, Everett (Connie) White; four daughters, Jennifer (Jerry) Brooks, Donita (Gene) Kinzer, Lois Hardin, and Betty Fenner; one sister, Alberta Hammond; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
Madeline was a homemaker. She was also a cook at Western Illinois University at Macomb for many years.
Burial will be in Marietta Cemetery.
