MINNIE HEINS

Minnie Heins Passes Away
The deceased, aged 78, was a pioneer resident of this city, and passed away Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Heins, after a brief illness. Miss Heins was born in this city March 30, 1860, the daughter of the late Carl and Dorothea Heins.

Her father was the founder of the Heins General Merchandise
store. He was also the first president of the State Bank of Kiel and served as justice of the peace here for many years. Miss Heins attended the public schools here and was graduated from the local high school.

Survivors are two brothers, Rudolph, living here, and Arthur of Tigerton. Six sisters and brothers preceded her in death.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian church, a charter member of the Frauen Verein and was also a member of the
Rebekah lodge. - Oct. 1938
