Esther "Granny" Wade, 93, of Pana, died Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at Prairie Rose Health Care Center, Pana.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2009, in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, Pana, with the Rev. Brian Bradshaw officiating. Burial will be in Eiler Cemetery, Tower Hill. She was born August 24, 1915, in Tower Hill, the daughter of James Harvey and Gertrude Mose Lewey, and lived all of her life in the Tower Hill and Pana area.
Esther married Lloyd Z. Wade on July 15, 1932. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1979.
She is survived by her children: Donald Wade and wife, Evelyn, Leonia, FL.; Betty Glick and husband, Robert, Tower Hill, IL.; and Lois Hutchinson and husband, Everett, Tower Hill, IL.; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and by her brother, Harry Lewey, Pana, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Irma Pauline Wade; two brothers; and three sisters.
