Sarah was born to Martin and Jerusha Moseley Crane about 1833 in Alabama. She left this world on an unknown date.
Sarah was the sister of Lewis A., Erasmus, Emelia, ad Daniel R Crane.
She married James Duncan Coker on January 23, 1852 in Washington County Alabama. Shortley after thier marriage Sarah, her husband James, her parents and syblings, and new in laws Seaborn C. and Mary Miles Coker packed up their belongings and moved to Conway County, Arkansas, arriving before the birth of her son James Jr. in December 13, 1852. In About 1854 their daughter Mary was born.

Sarah's husband James passed away sometime in 1854. Shortley after his death a custody battle insued between Sarah and her Coker in laws. Unfortuantley Sarah lost her custody of her two young children.
There are court papers in the Conway County, Arkansas court house that describes Seaborn going to court to maintain custody of his two grandchildren James Jr and Mary. At one time there was a hearing for the return of Mary from Martin and Jerusha Crane.

Sarah married Thomas McBurnitt on April 01, 1858 in Conway County, Arkansas. He was a man nearly 30 years her senior. Sarah died before 1872. Thomas remarried to Sarah Lenly on December 31, 1872 in Conway County, Arkansas
