Blackhorse Jones ranched on Garzasas Creek 25 miles south of Huron. Around 1889 he started traveling to Grangeville Cemetery to work on his own personal burial vault.
He used rocks, wood, cement, roughhewn timbers and put together something unique in the valley. He built his own coffin and everything he built was used when he passed away in 1909.
