Bell, Ricky David

Ricky Bell, 51, passed away at home on Saturday, July 19, 2008. He was born in Toledo on June 24, 1957, to Georgia and Alvin Bell, Jr. Ricky attended Larc Lane School and worked at Lott Industries. He was the Telegraph Plant employee of the year in 1991.

Ricky enjoyed traveling with his family and visited 48 states (and had the pictures to prove it). He also loved to swim and bowl. Ricky had an amazing memory and enjoyed entertaining friends and family with his knowledge of celebrities and tv shows. He was a big fan of the original Star Trek, M.A.S.H., and Get Smart not to mention "Spooky" movies. He was lucky enough to meet Michael Landon and Joanne Worley.

His father, Alvin Bell, Jr., preceded him death and he is survived by his mother, Georgia; brothers, Gene (Marjie) and Wayne (Elizabeth); nephews, Jake, Peter, and Michael and niece, Monica; great-niece Taryn; great-nephew, Griffin and many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Family and friends may call at the Foth-Dorfmeyer Mortuary, 3815 Sylvania Ave. (Between Monroe St. and Talmadge Rd.) Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Glenwood Lutheran Church. Ricky's family is grateful for the extrodinary and loving care he received for many months from the staffs of Luther Home of Mercy and Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Memorial tributes may be made to Glendwood Lutheran Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
