"JENKINS - JENKINS.
David K. Jenkins, of Lititz, and Miss Mary G. Jenkins, of Conestoga, were married Saturday morning at 8 o'clock at Conestoga Reformed church by the pastor, Rev. David Scheirer, in the presence of a large group of relatives and friends. The bride was attended by Miss Elsie Breighner of Littlestown, as bridesmaid, Florence Ford, of this city, niece of the bride, as flower girl; David Bushman, of Biglersville, as ring bearer. The best man was Marshall Field, of this city, and the ushers were Henry Ford, of this city, and Harry A. Jenkins, brother of the bride.
The wedding march was played by Miss Dorothy Jenkins, and Miss Betty Ship, of Sunbury, sang "O Promise Me," and "At Dawning." The bride wore a gown of white satin and carried a bouquet of roses, and her attendant was clad in blue organdy and carried white and red peonies. Peonies were used to decorate the church.
After the ceremony the couple left on a wedding trip to Canada, Detroit, Chicago and other points of interest.

"Mary Jenkins Dies, Was Retired Nurse.

Mary G. Jenkins Jenkins, 81, a retired registered nurse, died Sunday morning at her home, 59 N. Broad St., Lititz, after an illness of 10 days.
She was the widow of David Clepper [sic - Klepper] Jenkins, who died in 1974.
A 1928 graduate of St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, Mrs. Jenkins was a nurse for 58 years, retiring in May 1983. Until 1983, she owned and operated nursing homes in Brookline Mass., and Newton, Mass. Mrs. Jenkins was a member of Conestoga United Church of Christ and the Alumni Association of St. Joseph School of Nursing.
Born in Conestoga Township, she was the daughter of the late Harry I. and Ella Good Jenkins.
She is survived by two sons, Paul M. and John D., both at home; a sister, Cora G. Rineer, Pequea R1; and a brother, Harry A. Jenkins, Lancaster."
