Priest, Shirely E.
Shirley E. Priest, 71, of Bowling Green, OH passed away Friday, October 26, 2007, in Flower Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 26, 1936 in Newark, OH to Clifford and Nena (Holman) McClain. Shirley worked as an Executive Assistant for Johns-Manville, retiring in 1997 and also worked as a Secretary for Marshall-Melhorn, Block and Belt Attorneys. She was an avid golfer where she belonged to the Links Lassies Golf Club. Shirley was also fond of reading, working on puzzles and was a member of the Quarter-Century Club for the Johns-Manville Corp. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Shirley will be missed by all who knew her. Shirley's greatest love was her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lester Priest who she married June 19, 1954; daughters, Kimberly Spencer of Tupelo, MS and Trudy (Jim) Gray of Grand Rapids, OH; son, Robert (Debbie) Priest of Sylvania, OH; grandchilden, Addison, Kiley and Spencer Gray, Sydney, Kasey and Logan Priest and brother, Robert (Linda) McClain of Inverness, FL. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Weber and brother Phillip N. McClain.
Family and friends may visit Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Maison - Dardenne - Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, OH where a Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
