HORACE 'BUDDY' APPLEGATE, 75, of Memphis, retired Kimberly-Clark production employee, died of respiratory failure Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital East. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown. He was a World War II Army veteran. Mr. Applegate, the widower of Marie Applegate, leaves a son, Andy Applegate of Bartlett; six sisters, Luzon Henderson of Memphis, Katherine Watson of Moss Point, Miss., Lilly May Kelly of Southaven, Virginia Rhodes of Bartlett, Mary Luttrell of Heber Springs, Ark., and Shirley McLemore of Arkoma, Okla.; two brothers, Walter Applegate of Eads and Ralph Applegate of Carrollton, Texas, and a grandson.
