Rev. William H. Moon Dead
Coloma, Ala., April 13 -- Rev. William H. Moon, aged 78 years, died at his home near Pope at 4 o'clock. Bro. Moon was a pioneer citizen of Cherokee county and knew something of hardships in early settling; was a true Confederate soldier, a consistant Christian and a useful man. He was burried (sic) at Providence church cemetery with Masonic honors, and a large concourse of friends attended. Peace to his ashes and condolence to the relatives.
