GEORGE LEIGHTON DIES
AT HOME THIS MORNING
George Leighton passed away at his home on Norwood Avenue today death being due to heart disease. he was born in Olean, New York, March 9, 1852. he had lived in Michigan since he was a boy of 16. he has been employed in Hillsdale for a number of years as carpenter and has been proprietor of the Fixit Shop.
Mr. Leighton is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Leighton, by one son, Otto Leighton of Columbus, Georgia and by two daughters, Mrs. H. C. Bowman of Hamilton, Ohio and Mrs. Nellie Miller of New York City. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 in the Miner Funeral Home with Rev. R W. Merrill officiating. Burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery.
