Mary Douda was born in Zandov, Czechoslovakia on August 17, 1877 and passed away on December 29, 1949 at Blue Rapids, Kansas at the age of 72 years, 4 months, and 10 days.

At the age of 16 she came to this country to the home of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Kopachek near Leonardville, KS where she made her home for a short time.

On November 10, 1894 she was united in marriage to Frank Hanzlik, and to this union three children were born: Will A, Agnes L and Wilma M.

They made their home in the Cleburne community until the year 1944 when they moved to Blue Rapids.

She was faithful, kind and loving and her place as wife and mother was ably filled and it is in the family circle where her death will be keenly felt.

During her entire life, Mrs. Hanzlik had great faith in her Saviour and attended services and church activities as long as her health permitted.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband and three children. Will A Hanzlik of Vermillion, Ks; Agnes L. Jones of Cleburne and Wilma M Thomas of Wichita, four grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
