Marguerite Alber, 90, died Sept. 10, 2006, at Sterling Presbyterian Manor.
She was born Dec. 30, 1915, in Waverly, the daughter of Alfred John and Alice June Harrison Williamson. She graduated from Little River High School in 1933, attended KSU, and graduated from Beauty College. A longtime Sterling resident, formerly of Little River, she was a housemother at Sterling College retiring after 15 years.
She belonged to United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Friends of Keystone, Modern Priscilla's, J. B. Jolly Bunch, P. C. Club, Silver Threads and was a volunteer at Sterling College with the mailings, all in Sterling. She was a member of Eastern Star, and Past Matrons, both in Lyons.
She married Raymond B. Alber.
Survivors include: a son, Max L., Little River; a daughter, Jacqueline "Jackie" Ramage, Little River; a brother, Wilbur Dean Williamson, Warrensburg, Mo.: two sisters, Dolores Wandell, Mason, Mich., and Wilma Jean Blaser, Marysville; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 16, at United Methodist Church, Sterling, with the Rev. Glenn Chambers presiding. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, with the family present from 4 to 6 p.m. at Sillin Funeral Home, Sterling. Burial will be in Bean Memorial Cemetery, Little River.
Memorials may be sent to Sterling College, in care of the funeral home.
