Verna H. Allam, 82, Lubbock, Texas, a former Little River resident, died November 16, 1983 at Lakeside Care Center, Lubbock, after a long illness. Born Verna Trego, May 12, 1901, in Ellsworth, she married William Edgar Allam. He died in 1972. She had been a resident of Lubbock for the past 10 years, moving from McPherson.

She was a member of the Congregational Church.

Survivors include a son, Dean, Lubbock; two daughters, Joyce Morse of Denver, Colo., and Jeanne Allam, Lubbock; two sisters, Louise Hanna, Anaheim, Calif., and Janet Haynes, Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services were Sunday at Bean Memorial Cemetery, Little River.
