Howard served as a Privatem 112th Calvalry, US Army during World War II and, resided in Windham County, Vermont prior to the war.
He enlisted in the Army on June 26, 1941, prior to the war, in Rutlandm Vermont. He was noted , at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Hospital Attendant and also as Single, without dependents.
Howard died in the "Line of Duty" of a non-battle related incident during the war.
He was originally interred in the Schofield Barracks Cemetary and was later interred here on November 17, 1949.
