JOHN BELL

Widower Is Found Dead At The Addison House.

John Bell, 61, a widower for the past five months, was found dead early today in a wash room on the second floor of the hotel by Walter Osieczanek, the proprietor. Coroner Rau, who was summoned, said Bell had died from heart attack. The dead man came to Manitowoc from Marinette some months ago and made his living selling wire novelties. The past two months he was employed by Mr. Osieczanek who said Bell did not complain of feeling ill when he retired to his room at 8 p.m. Monday. When he did not arise to do the morning chores at 6 a.m. a search was made and his dead body was found in the washroom. Bell had locked the door from the inside and the police were called to break the lock. The body was taken to the Leschke funeral home and efforts made to communicate with relatives. His wife is buried at Marinette and he has a son, 20, and a daughter, 18, living at Milwaukee with a married sister of the deceased. Another sister at Racine also survives.
