Lillian Betsey was married by the Rev. A. J. Nelson to Isaac Newton (Haynes) Hayes on April 4, 1872 in Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz Co., Calif.

From The Mountain Echo – December 16, 1911 – "J. H. Fuller and Ex-Supervisor Joe Ball have sold the Grand Central Hotel property in Felton to Mrs. I. N. Hayes, whose father H. W. McKoy, owned and conducted this hotel in the pioneer days of this valley. Also, Mrs. Hayes's husband, the late I. N. Hayes, was it's proprietor for many years after the McKoy regime."
Lillian Betsey is buried in the Felton Cemetery but she is not listed on "Felton Cemetery Index" of 11/26/05. The following is from the Santa Cruz County Records: "Lillian B. Hayes – born Sept. 7, 1848, died July 25, 1936, buried July 27, 1936 – Felton Cemetery – 87 years 10 mo. 18 days old. Informant – Belle H. Cooley, 2007 W. 3rd. Los Angeles."
She may be in the McKoy Plot E-1-3 in the Felton Cemetery.
