Mrs. Ella Campbell, 87, Died Monday Evening; Had Been Hospitalized Two Weeks
Mrs. Ella Elnora Campbell, 87, of Hurdland, widow of C. F. Campbell, died at 7:05 o'clock Monday evening, July 5, 1971, at the Grim-Smith Hospital in Kirksville where she had been a patient two weeks.
Funeral services were at 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Edina with the Rev. Barbara Barnett officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Hurdland.
Surviving are two sons, Emery W. Campbell of Hurdland and George C. Campbell of Kirksville, a foster daughter, Helen M., Mrs. Ora Day, of Callao, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a brother, Darwin W. Beck, of El Campo, Texas.
Mrs. Campbell was born April 23, 1884, in Cook (sic) County Nebraska, a daughter of Chris H. and Henrietta Black Beck, and was married Dec. 24, 1902, to Colon F. Campbell. They lived southeast of Hurdland many years. Mr. Campbell preceded her in death Nov. 14, 1963.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Cleo Beck, and two brothers, Audra and George Beck.
