Bonnie L. McClaugherty Neal, 61, of Pearisburg, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2009. Born October 2, 1947 in Pearisburg, she was the daughter of Helen Louise Meredith McClaugherty, of Christiansburg, and the late Arthur Dean McClaugherty. Bonnie was employed by the Giles County Public School System for 30 years. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, William E. "Billy" Neal, of Pearisburg, Sheri Cunningham and husband, Craig, of Pembroke, and Shelley D. Neal, of Pearisburg; one brother, Donnie McClaugherty and wife, Geneva, of Christiansburg; one sister, Betty J. McClaugherty, of Christiansburg; four grandchildren, Katie Cunningham, Evan Williams, Taylor Williams and Austin Cunningham; several nieces and nephews and a great nephew. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Shahn Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg, Va. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at the funeral home. Arrangements by Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, Peterstown, WV.
