William Bainbridge Rivers was the son of William Hollingshead Rivers and Eliza Royall. He was both a dentist and a physician [according to 1850 and 1860 census records]. This cemetery, "Rivers Hill", is named after him. His wife was Sophia R. Thomas, daughter of the noted surveyor Edward Lloyd Thomas.
