ELROY C. KEHR (Republican), Representative from Warren County, was born on
August 5, 1890, in Marthasville, Missouri. Was graduated from the Marthasville High
School and Central Wesleyan College. He was married to Miss Amanda Otterman on
December 20, 1914, at Marthasville, Missouri. They have two children—Glenn F. Kehr, editor
of the Albany Capital and Albany Ledger, Albany, Missouri, and Mrs. W. J. Wilson of
Washington, Missouri, who is teaching school. He taught school in Warren County for eleven
years, was an accountant in St. Louis for one year, and has been editor of the Marthasville
Record since February, 1919. Is past exalted ruler of the Benevolent and Protective Order
of Elks and a member of tho Evangelical and Reformed Church. Was elected chairman of
the Warren County Republican Central Committee in 1914, and has been active in local
political affairs since that time. Served as delegate to the 1943 Constitutional Convention,
which wrote the 1945 Constitution. Was elected as a state representative in May, 1945 and
was re elected in 1946, 1948, 1950, 1952, and 1954. In (he Sixty-eighth General Assembly
he served as a member of the following committees: Legislative Research: Constitutional
Amendments; Criminal Jurisprudence: and Criminal Justice and Costs. Address: Marthasville,
