Albert Kaseman, age 94, of Wishek, ND, died April 7, 1999, in the Wishek Nursing Home.
Albert was born October 4, 1904, on the family farm 15 miles southwest of Wishek, ND, the son of Bernard and Pauline (Hepper) Kaseman. He grew up on the family farm received his education in rural McIntosh Co schools. Albert farmed with his family for many years. He was married to Emma Schilling on July 7, 1927, at the St. John's Lutheran Church rural Wishek. Following their marriage
they made their home on the Kaseman family farmstead where they lived and farmed. In 1949, they purchased land two and one half miles west of Wishek and began construction of a new farm.
They lived and farmed there for many years. Albert has been a resident of the Wishek Nursing Home since December of 1996. He came to think of the home and the staff as his extended family.
Albert was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church, where he served on the church council, and formerly belonged to the St. John's Lutheran Church where he served as a deacon and also taught Sunday School. Albert enjoyed fishing and socializing with relatives and friends.
Survivors include one son, Edgar Kaseman of Wishek, ND; five daughter, Marcella (Edward) Ackerman, Delores Janke and Sheryl (Bradley) Brandner, Wishek, Vera (Robert) Miller of Manfield, SD, Darlene Miller of Richfield, MN, and one daughter-in-law, Violet Kaseman of Wishek; 17
grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Emma; and son, Elmer; a granddaughter, Kathleen; a son-in-law, Gideon Janke; seven brothers; and six sisters.
