William Creed Pendleton Jr., 75, also known as "Bunny" was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 31, 2009, at Louisa Health Care Center.

William was born on September 28, 1933, the son of the late William and Mary Morris Pendleton. He attended the Louisa County Public Schools and was a self employed trucker and logger.

He accepted the Lord Jesus at an early age and became a member of the Foster Creek Baptist Church. He was ordained as a Deacon under the leadership of the Reverend Andrew Kerney on July 11, 1982.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Frances Sims and a brother, Raymond Pendleton.

He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Shirley Pendleton; two sons, Aaron Pendleton of Stafford, Virginia, Ronald Pendleton of Louisa, Virginia; four daughters, Sandra Brice and her husband, Calvin, of Louisa, Virginia, Jeanelle King and her husband, Jeffrey, of Barboursville, Virginia, Tammy Pendleton of Louisa, Virginia, and Rose Saunders of Richmond, Virginia; one niece, Debra Sims; and one nephew, Larry Sims, both of Louisa, Virginia. He also leaves to cherish his memories 11 grandchildren, two great- grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 4, 2009, at Foster Creek Baptist Church, 4028 East Jack Jouett Road Louisa, Virginia 23093, with the Reverend Michael Crawley Jr. officiating. Interment followed at the Pendleton Family Cemetery.

Thomasson Watson Funeral Service Inc. of Louisa, Virginia, is handling the arrangements.
