Leander Cecil Fallwell was born on April 27, 1928, in Payson, Lincoln County, Oklahoma, to Hester Hazel Sims, age 19, and Cecil Elisha Columbus FallwellL, age 24. He was the first son. Leander had two older sisters, Rowena Hazel and Mildred Ella Fallwell. After his birth three more brothers were born; they were Lester Franklin, Boyd Eugene, and James Linvel "Jimmy" Fallwell; then three more sisters, Betty Ruth, Mary Ellen, and Retha Lavonne Fallwell.

Leander was a good son, he loved his family, and they dearly loved him. Two weeks before his 17th birthday he passed away on April 16, 1945 at McBride Bone and Joint Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma. His death was caused from blood poisoning (sepsis) from a bacterial infection near his brain. This was a very sad and difficult time for the Fallwell family.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leander Franklin and Ella (Bailey) Fallwell. Leander was survived by his parents and all eight of his siblings of the home; his maternal grandparents, Thomas Franklin and Mary Olive "Ollie" (Smith) Sims of Everton, Dade County, Missouri; many aunts, uncles, cousins.

Services for Leander were held at the Hunter Funeral Home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was laid to rest at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Wheatland, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.
