Dorothy A. Batchlor, 94, of Pearland, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ovid Perchway and Myrtle (Chetney) Perchway; first husband, Kenneth Jessie Brown and second husband, Neil Leslie Batchlor; and son, Rodger Brown. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Brown and his wife, Joan; Gerald Brown; Brian Brown and his wife, Diane; daughter, Eileen Chase; fifteen grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Dorothy was born on October 11, 1914, in Fulton, New York. She resided in the Pearland area for the last seven years. During her working career, she was employed by the General Electric Company. Dorothy's whole world revolved around her family and she was very dedicated and supportive of all of their endeavors. She was affectionately known as "Grandma" to everyone. Good health blessed Dorothy for most of her life. She loved to travel all over the United States and especially enjoyed visiting Hawaii for Brian and Diane's wedding. Crocheting and making Christmas ornaments were some of her favorite pastimes. Dorothy will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and the many happy times with her kids and their Aunt "V". A graveside service for Dorothy will be held in the spring of 2009 in Fulton.

Dorothy Brown Batchelor, 94, formerly of Fulton, passed away January 5, 2009, in Pearland, TX. Born in Fulton, Mrs. Batchelor was a longtime resident prior to moving to Texas. She retired from General Electric in Syracuse. Mrs. Batchelor was predeceased by her husband, Neil L. Batchelor, on March 11, 2008. She is survived by her daughter, three sons, two stepdaughters, four step-sons, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be noon Friday, June 5, 2009, at St. Mary's Cemetery in Fulton. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton, has charge of arrangements.
